REC Networks has filed comments in the FCC's inquiry regarding "Need for Speed" which includes the way that broadband providers promote their service speeds as well as set standards for much bandwidth particular applications consume.
REC's comments were related to our experiences with the recent facility move to Prescott Valley and the difficulty we received with Qwest provided service.
Our comments stated that speed claims made by broadband service providers should not be from the customer premise to the DSLAM/headend but average speeds from the customer premise to the backbone or other final point on the ISP owned network.
