REC has made the following updates to support the NCE Filing Window:
BROADCAST QUERY (FMQ)
Applications for original construction permits on non-commercial educational (NCE) stations are now identified by the following line added to the data:
2007 NCE Window Station: Check for MX
Clicking on "Check for MX" will display a "MX" (mutually exclusive) report similar to what we used during the Great Translator Invasion of 2003. The MX application will display the subject station's information and the estimated field strengths of the impacted stations and attempts to compute the distance required to "clear" the other station. On that report, stations that are potentially MX will appear with a red background.
As with all REC reports that involve field strength measurements, we do not consider this report 100% accurate due to the method we use to estimate field strength. REC reports do not replace the use of a qualified consulting engineer. In addition, this report is not valid for stations in Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands due to the area's larger protected contours.
NCE 07 APPLICATION LISTING (NCE07)
This standalone application simply lists all of the applications pending for the 55 states and territories where applications were filed. Clicking the facility ID will take you to the REC Broadcast Query entry and clicking the FCC file number will take you to the application at the FCC. This application can be reached directly at

API: showFacilityDetail
A new data element FM/Application/Admin/NceWindow07 has been added. If the record is a qualifying 2007 NCE Window record, then that data element will appear with the value of 1. Otherwise, it will not appear at all. Documentation will be updated in the future.
