We have completed the transition of text to speech (TTS) services and all J1 related support services to System40. Due to unforeseen circumstances, there was an interruption of broadcasting on all four channels for approximately 10 minutes.
We are currently doing post launch verifications on the J1 transition.
Travel, traffic and weather messages that air on the J1 channels at :15 and :45 past each hour now originate from System 40. We did make some minor changes including increasing the size of a Japanese train delay message before it defaults to a generic message. This was due to the lifting of a past limitation on query size imposed by Microsoft.
Tokyo Travel and Weather services are available on J1 HITS, J1 XTRA and J1 GOLD between 5:15 and 24:45 JST at :15 and :45 past each hour. Bi-lingual train delay messages air at both :15 and :45. Tokyo weather information will be in English at :15 and in Japanese at :45. Japan national weather will air in the same respective manner during the 5, 6, 7, 8, 12, 17, 18 and 19 hours JST.
All Japan train services mentioned on the previous changelog have been set for automatic website updating on the following schedule:
