This is an extensive (but not complete) list of situations that can happen in groups of mutually exclusive application groups (MX Groups) based on certain actions that take place before the FCC reviews each group at the time of their final review after the completion of the major amendment change window and settlement opportunity.
Point pledges (main studio and local programming) are only applicable when the points are specifically used in order for the applicant to gain a construction permit. In cases where an applicant files an amendment to "break out" of the MX Group to become singleton, the points will not apply. If the applicant is the lead scorer and other applicants in the MX Group leave the group (through amendments to become singleton or through any kind of application dismissal) leaving only the lead scorer in the MX Group, then the pledges will not apply. If a universal settlement (involving ALL MX group members) is reached, the pledges will not apply.
For the purposes of these charts, a "break out" can also include a dismissal of the application either at the applicant's request or by action of the Audio Division. (In those cases, the "outcome" as shown will not be a singleton, but instead, a dismissed application.)
