During the Government Shutdown, REC services will still continue to function. Database updates have been disabled until the resumption of government business. Industry Canada updates will continue to take place on Sundays.
It is our belief that all FCC web services including CDBS will remain available for LPFM applicants to stage their applications.
Our LPFM search tools do have a dependence on the FCC's HAAT web service being operational. As long as that service remains operational, myLPFM will function normally. As of noon EDT on Tuesday, October 1, 2013, all FCC web services have been taken out of service. This will impact not just myLPFM but your ability to "stage" applications in CDBS.
Our advice to applicants is to continue to treat the filing window as being between October 15-29, 2013. Please do not consider this government shutdown as a change or an extension of the window dates. If the FCC decides to change the window dates, they will announce that.
For now, all we can do is sit back and wait while the spoiled brats in the Senate and the House duke out their differences on C-SPAN.
