Today, the FCC has dismissed some LPFM applications due to being non-tentative selectees.
All of these applicants were from MX window #2 and were in groups where there was only one tentative selectee.
According to information received to REC by the FCC, if these appliants can identify an alternative channel and or location to break them out from the MX group, they may still file an amendment and a petition for reconsideration to reinstate the application, the FCC will reinstate and accept their application for filing.
Dismissed applicants must make their decisions on or before December 8.
REC Broadcast Services is ready to assist dismissed applicants with the amendment process. Please call us at 1-844-REC-LPFM to get started.
Non-leading applicants in MX groups with at least two tentative selectees have not been dismissed thus to allow time for the leading applicants to make time share agreements or other settlements.
While some have already been dismissed, we feel the FCC will hold back on those with reconsiderations or objections in the group as the outcome of those proceedings could impact the outcome of the group.
LPFM applicants seeking professional services should contact REC for immediate assistance.
