According to public records, Hispanic Christian Community Network, which is headed by Antonio Cesar Guel has filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy in the Texas Northern District Bankruptcy Court in Dallas.
Included in the list of creditors are tower companies such as American Tower, Clear Channel and Spectrasite. The list also includes antenna manufacturer Jampro, the Internal Revenue Service among many more.
We are not aware yet of what types of business operations HCCN will be permitted to engage in if any and what the status of the HCCN owned (non-LPFM) construction permits and licenses will be. It will be up to the bankruptcy court to make those decisions.
It is also not known what would be the status of the 129 pending LPFM applications and whether Guel or his attorney Dan Alpert will be permitted to file any more amendments on these applications. It will be up to the bankruptcy court to determine what transactions HCCN can engage in, if any.
The case number is 3.14-bk-35472 with Judge Barbara J. Houser.
