A fresh retransmission consent agreement has been signed by DirecTV and The Walt Disney Company — a deal that early Saturday put an end to an ugly 13-day battle that saw the direct broadcast satellite TV service provider take an aggressive stance in seeking its demands for a la carte pricing and flexibility.
It appears DirecTV got a lot of what it has been advocating for.

Now, Republican FCC Commissioner Nate Simington has spoken up by calling for an end to the fight and allowing the license renewal to proceed without delay.
